Position Overview:
The Senior Profitability Analyst is tasked with managing the profitability analysis of all Musket transactions, ensuring accuracy from initiation to final settlement. This role includes mentoring analysts, enhancing troubleshooting capabilities, assisting with daily reconciliations, and conducting performance evaluations for the team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Team Leadership and Development:**
- Provide coaching and conduct performance assessments for the Trade Reporting and Logistics team.
- Deliver training and guidance to enhance the performance of all direct reports, addressing any barriers to their success.

2. **Profitability Oversight:**
- Review exposure, mark to market (MTM), and profitability reports for all transactions to ensure precision and reasonableness.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of SRA scheduling, profit/loss reporting, transaction rebooking, and accounting close, along with their implications on profitability.

3. **Collaboration and Problem Solving:**
- Work closely with contract administration, accounting, inventory control, and external parties to resolve any pricing or volume discrepancies.
- Assist in the year-end audit process concerning transaction documentation and forward mark to market validation.

Qualifications:
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field or equivalent professional experience is required.
- An advanced degree or certification in commodity/risk management is preferred.

Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the energy sector is preferred.

Skills Required:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with SolArc-Right Angle is essential.
- Familiarity with commodity risk exposure reporting is required.

Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, exceptional customer service orientation, meticulous attention to detail, self-motivated, effective time management skills, and innovative problem-solving abilities.

Physical Requirements:
- This role requires prolonged periods of sitting, occasional bending and stooping, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Manual dexterity is necessary for operating a computer keyboard and calculator. Normal hearing and vision range are required, and travel may be necessary.
