As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Responsibilities:
- Greet incoming patients in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression of our hospital.
- Accurately collect and update patient demographics and insurance information, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Answer incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate information and routing calls to the intended recipient.
- Process administrative tasks, including billing and registration, to ensure accurate and timely processing of patient information.
- Collect co-pays and verify patient eligibility for services, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Process referrals and authorization for tests and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate completion of paperwork.
- Confirm appointments for the next day and ensure patient charts are up-to-date and accurate.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalency required; college preferred.
- Knowledgeable in medical health insurances and basic medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum 2 years of registration experience within a medical setting, with experience in a high-volume call center.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for travel throughout Westchester County for business purposes.
