Job Summary

The Accounting Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and budgeting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate ledgers and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Guide assigned departments/locations with budgeting and forecasting, providing expert advice and support.
  • Review and approve budgeting, accounting, and reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Act as a resource for complex financial transactions and reporting, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and maintain internal accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field.
  • Five years of accounting experience, with non-profit accounting experience highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license, meet MVR driver's qualifications, and pass background checks.
Competencies
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with integrity, valuing honesty and diligence.
  • Competency with PC, Microsoft Office, Adobe, General Ledgers, and standard office equipment.
Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift 30 pounds at a time.
  • Professional environment; eligible for a remote-friendly work environment.
