Job Overview The Field Services Team Leader is responsible for guiding the Field Services team by setting clear objectives, effectively organizing teams, fostering collaboration, inspiring team members, driving performance, evaluating outcomes, and providing follow-up.
This role will oversee operations within the California region.Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide daily operational guidance for outside customer service personnel who deliver services nationwide.
- Authorize expenditures and hours worked (both regular and overtime).
- Conduct performance evaluations utilizing Siebel metrics and ride-along assessments; ensuring they are substantive and timely.
- Implement corrective training and/or disciplinary measures as necessary.- Responsible for recruiting and onboarding new team members. Emphasize the significance of adhering to safety protocols and utilizing appropriate safety gear and practices, such as correct lifting techniques.
Communication:
- Deliver prompt, professional, and courteous communication to both internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills when engaging with team members, other departments, manufacturing sites, and clients.
- Guide team members in maintaining effective communication with customers and colleagues. Utilize various communication methods to keep service technicians informed and engaged. Encourage technicians to distribute feedback cards to gather insights on service quality.
Continuous Improvement:
- Seek opportunities to enhance departmental efficiencies and establish performance metrics. Participate in project teams aimed at achieving departmental and corporate objectives. Advocate for the 5-S methodology. Understand and communicate the goals, vision, and values of Marvin Company. Strive to improve first-time completion rates (FTC).
Fleet Management:
- Ensure that service vehicles are well-stocked and organized.
Planning and Budgeting:
- Collaborate on departmental and corporate goals with employee engagement. Review the budget on a monthly basis. Ensure technicians are effectively scheduling and consolidating jobs in designated areas to optimize costs.
Training and Development:
- Equip employees with training and resources that promote career advancement. Provide ongoing feedback to team members, address employee concerns, and facilitate conflict resolution. Offer training opportunities as needed and assess their knowledge in product, installation, repair, systems, and communication.
Salary Range $65,000-$75,000

- Experience in the construction industry and channel partner sectors.
- Product knowledge.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel as required, including overnight stays.
- A college degree and/or relevant experience.
- Proven customer service experience.
- Strong leadership capabilities.
- Adaptability to technology and willingness to learn new systems.
- A valid driver's license.
