Certified Medical Assistant (CMA):


• Experience in a healthcare environment is essential.

• Must maintain a courteous and professional demeanor in all interactions with patients, visitors, staff, and medical personnel.

• Assist physicians in patient care activities.

• Exhibit proficiency in medical office operations.

• Anticipate the needs of the physician for each patient based on their complaints and treatment protocols.

• Ensure that all patient results, imaging, laboratory tests, and procedural reports are present in patient files before the physician's examination.

• Collect and document patient vitals and concerns in their medical records.

• Accurately chart all relevant information, including lab results.

• Facilitate communication between the physician and patients.

• Complete laboratory requisition forms and ensure specimens are sent to the appropriate laboratories according to patient insurance agreements.

• Maintain and oversee the inventory of supplies and instruments in examination and procedure rooms.

• Clean and sterilize instruments following OSHA regulations, including the upkeep of the autoclave as necessary.

• Prepare clinical documentation as required.

• Schedule surgical procedures and provide patients with necessary pre-operative instructions, referring to the Front Office Coordinator or Office Manager for insurance approvals.

• Provide support for surgical scheduling as needed.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Responsible for patient care duties tailored to the specific needs of patients across various age groups.
  • Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, capable of conducting comprehensive assessments on all patients and performing reassessments as per established protocols.
  • Ability to effectively assess and manage pain, utilizing appropriate pain relief strategies and educating patients and families on pain management.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of medications and their correct administration according to patient age and clinical condition.
  • Adheres to the five rights of medication administration to minimize the risk of errors.
  • Capable of modifying care plans based on patient responses to treatment and evaluating the overall effectiveness of the care plan daily.
  • Develops educational plans based on identified patient learning needs and assesses the effectiveness of the education provided, involving family members as appropriate.
  • Assists physicians with medical procedures and performs tasks requiring technical skills under the guidance of an RN.
  • Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
  • Engages professionally with patients and families, involving them in the care planning process.

Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Enhances public relations for the department and the organization by presenting oneself in a professional manner and participating in community service initiatives as needed.
  • Skilled in resolving patient and family concerns positively.
  • Exhibits communication skills necessary for interacting with individuals of diverse ages and cultures, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Builds and sustains effective relationships with colleagues, other department staff, and physicians, ensuring a harmonious work environment.
  • Practices the five rights of medication administration diligently.
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills to optimize productivity.
  • Encourages and participates in teamwork.
  • Seeks assistance and information from colleagues when necessary.
