Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care
    • Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharge.
    • Provide and document ADL care, including passing water bed baths, shower, and oral hygiene, changing bed linens, cleaning overhead tables, and straightening room snacks.
    • Provide and document evening care, including passing water back rubs, bed baths, shower, oral hygiene, changing bed linens, cleaning overhead tables, and straightening room evening snacks.
  • Provide General Nursing Care
    • Provide general nursing care, including positioning, transfers to chair or stretcher, lifting and turning patients, using specialized equipment, and ambulating patients.
    • Answer call lights, anticipate patient needs, and provide hourly rounding and bedside shift reports with handoffs.
  • Monitor Patient Conditions
    • Report complaints about pain immediately to licensed personnel.
    • Report deviations of vital signs from normal as appropriate.
    • Observe patients' mental and physical conditions and report changes immediately to licensed personnel.
  • Maintain Patient Safety
    • Optimize patient safety using equipment, clinical skills, communication, and Universal Precautions.
    • Maintain and implement isolation precautions as directed or per policies.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • High School diploma or equivalent required.
    • Licenses & Certifications
      • C-BLS certification required.
      • C-Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
