Geologist Position in New York City

We are seeking an Entry-Level Geologist to join our Remediation team in our New Jersey office. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering professional consulting services to our key clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine fieldwork under close supervision from project managers, including soil, sediment, surface water, and/or groundwater sampling, operation and maintenance of remedial systems, and drilling and remedial construction oversight including subcontractor management.
- Participate in site visits and coordinate and assist field staff as required.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
- Develop knowledge of job-specific federal, state, and local laws and regulations and assigned job specifications.
- Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced scientist/engineer.
- Prepare progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Attend meetings and report on project tasks.
This is a field-based role comprising approximately 80% field work and 20% office-based work. The candidate will join a large established team conducting environmental assessment and remediation projects across the states of New York and New Jersey. The candidate will communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, site personnel, and office management, and work both independently and as a part of a project team. Note this role may require travel outside of New York and New Jersey to support projects as needed across the United States.
