Job Summary

Fire Equipment Inc is seeking a skilled Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and maintaining portable fire extinguishers and emergency exit lighting systems at customer locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test portable fire extinguishers to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Install new fire extinguishers and replace existing ones due for service
  • Inspect emergency exit lighting systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Complete inspection reports online
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • MA Certificate of Competency 46 – license for portable fire extinguishers required
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes a plus
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • OSHA 10 card required

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Frequently required to stand and walk
  • Occasionally required to sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places
  • The employee must continually lift and/or move 10-20 pounds
