Position Overview
This role focuses on investigating the influence of antigens on the differentiation and preservation of resident and exhausted memory T cells through advanced gene editing techniques. The research will involve various methodologies including cell isolation from non-lymphoid tissues, flow cytometry, quantitative immunofluorescence microscopy, mRNA extraction, cell transfer procedures, gene editing, and immunohistochemistry (IHC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Research Activities - 80%
    Design and implement experiments while gathering and analyzing data.
  • Presentation and Instruction - 20%
    Summarize research findings for publication and dissemination.

Qualifications
Required: Candidates must possess an M.D. and have experience in resident memory T cell biology, murine T cell gene editing, and infection models. Preference will be given to those with a proven track record in developing scientific protocols, formulating hypotheses, scientific writing, and possessing strong letters of recommendation.
Preferred: Experience with lymphocyte isolation from non-lymphoid tissues, understanding of liver physiology, and proficiency in flow cytometry.
