This role focuses on investigating the influence of antigens on the differentiation and preservation of resident and exhausted memory T cells through advanced gene editing techniques. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of methodologies including:
- Cell isolation from non-lymphoid tissues
- Flow cytometry
- Quantitative immunofluorescence microscopy
- mRNA isolation
- Cell transfers
- Gene editing
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
Key Responsibilities
- Research Activities (80%): Design and implement experiments, along with data collection and analysis.
- Presentation and Instruction (20%): Summarize research findings for publication and educational purposes.
Qualifications
Required: Candidates must possess an M.D. and have substantial experience in resident memory T cell biology, murine T cell gene editing, and infection models. Preference will be given to those with proven skills in developing scientific protocols, scientific writing, and exceptional letters of reference.
Preferred: Experience with lymphocyte isolation from non-lymphoid tissues, knowledge of liver physiology, and proficiency in flow cytometry.
