Position Overview

The Courtroom Administrative Specialist plays a crucial role within the criminal division, providing essential support to judges, attorneys, defendants, and court staff. This position requires the ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of criminal court proceedings by preparing necessary documentation to reflect judicial orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure the seamless operation of the Clerk's office.
  • Utilize state computer systems for precise data entry, including case management and financial tracking.
  • Handle legal documents, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and policies.
  • Coordinate court docket activities, including arraignment hearings and witness oaths.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries from the public and court personnel.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of courtroom procedures, preferably with experience in circuit court operations. Training will be provided for those with general or juvenile domestic courtroom experience.
