About the Position

As a Child Welfare Advocate at MercyFirst, you'll work directly with birth parents to support them in achieving their goals of reunification. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of the foster care system and its complexities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular meetings with birth parents to discuss their needs and concerns.
  • Connect birth parents with resources and services to support them in meeting their goals.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting birth parents.
  • Document progress and outcomes, using data to inform program improvements.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior personal experience with the ACS/Child Welfare System is mandatory.

We estimate an annual salary of $38,000-$40,000, plus a $1,000 hiring bonus after completing 500 worked hours.
