We are seeking a dedicated Family Services Advocate to join our team at Brooklyn Community Services. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.

As a Family Services Advocate, you will provide supportive services to families identified by the child welfare system as being at-risk for child abuse and/or neglect. Your primary responsibilities will include making safety-focused assessments of child and family functioning, developing intervention plans, and helping caretakers take charge of their respective situations.

The successful candidate will be able to engage with families and transition them into specialized services as needed. You will also make monthly home visits to assess the safety of the home environment, provide advocacy and coaching to clients, and document all casework activity into city and state reporting systems.

This is a full-time position that requires strong time management and organizational skills, as well as previous work experience in a helping role with children, teens, parents, or families. We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
