Job Description
MercyFirst is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Child Welfare Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will provide case management and family reunification services to Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) and identified sponsors/permanency resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of UAC needs, including screening for human trafficking concerns.
  • Develop and implement Individual Service Plans (ISPs) tailored to each UAC's unique needs.
  • Maintain open communication with ORR and other stakeholders to ensure seamless case management and timely resolution of incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including CW supervisors and lead caseworkers, to ensure effective case coordination and best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience working with children, youth, and families, preferably with new immigrant populations.
  • Fluency in Spanish required.
  • Valid driver's license essential.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures.

The estimated salary for this position is $60,000 per year plus $1,000 hiring incentive after 500 hours worked.
