Ardelle Associates is looking for a Legal Support Specialist to assist the United States Attorney's Office (USAO) - District of Maine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage evidence within various information systems
  • Support attorneys in preparing for trials
  • Conduct preliminary examinations of legal documents
  • Evaluate legal documents for completeness and proper execution
  • Perform research and gather additional case-related information
  • Assess the correctness of actions in accordance with government regulations and procedures
  • Investigate records to identify conditions that may affect actions
  • Assist with legal instruments and provide necessary information
  • Compile facts for cases and routine documentation
  • Conduct initial reviews of petitions
  • Verify legal citations and references in documents
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various software applications including IPRO, CASEMAP, QUICKBOOKS, and the MICROSOFT SUITE.

Qualifications

· Minimum of 2 years' experience in a paralegal role, with preference given to candidates with government agency experience.

· Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, along with a paralegal certification.

· Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of passing a federal criminal and financial background check in compliance with federal laws and regulations.

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Compensation: $26.81 per hour

Expected Hours: 8 hours per week
