Family Support Specialist

At Day One, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our Children's Behavioral Health Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families who are experiencing struggles with mental health and substance use.
Job Summary:The Family Support Specialist will work closely with clients and their families to provide individualized support and guidance. This will involve conducting home visits, group meetings, and providing referrals to relevant services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Maine behavioral health system and be able to effectively navigate it to meet the needs of our clients.
Responsibilities:- Provide in-home and community support to assigned clients and their families
- Assist clients in achieving their treatment goals under the direction of the supervisor and case manager
- Monitor plan goals and objectives for continued relevancy and progress
- Collaborate with internal and external providers to ensure individualized client care
- Maintain accurate files and records in accordance with Day One policies and Federal and State regulations
- Ensure confidentiality and security of client information
- Meet service expectations and performance management targets
- Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and federal and state regulations
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations
- CIPSS certification or the ability to be provisionally certified
- Meet agency standards for attendance and punctuality
- Exercise good judgment and sound professional boundaries
