Legal Records Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Records Associate to join our team in Portland, Maine. As a Legal Records Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and preservation of records for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and respond to customer inquiries to provide accurate information and prompt assistance.
- File and retrieve documents in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinate the creation, receipt, storage, retrieval, and disposition of information.
- Ensure the security and preservation of records in records centers and inactive records.
- Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and ability to serve others.
- Apply retention schedules to inactive records.
- Respond to verbal, telephone, written, and email inquiries regarding records requests.
- Prepare new files within the records system guidelines.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
This role requires fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time.
Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery.
Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently.
