We are currently recruiting for an Onsite AV Support Specialist for a key client in the video collaboration and customer AV industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support to clients within business days, with flexible hours and attendance requirements determined by the client.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Zoom Rooms and general Zoom inquiries.
  • Train and support Level 1 and other technical staff.
  • Offer executive support and training to executive administrators as needed.
  • Monitor events and provide proactive support.
  • Validate new software and hardware, including beta versions.
  • Evaluate and escalate Zoom software issues to the engineering team.
  • Record and report issues, including case tracking and weekly/monthly reporting.
  • Install, repair, and configure Zoom Rooms.
Soft Skills:
  • Effective communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to identify and resolve problems before they arise.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with others to overcome challenges.
  • Time management: Ability to prioritize tasks and activities effectively.

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge to be independent and ready to start on day one, with specific knowledge on the client's internal processes provided.

Scope of Work:

The primary responsibility of the AV Support Specialist will be within Zoom Room project activities. During downtime, there may be light work and assistance needed around Zoom Phone.
  • Review A/V and M&E line drawings for new Zoom Rooms
  • Attend IT project meetings (as needed)
  • Document and inventory Zoom Room and Phone appliances
  • Provisioning of customers-approved hardware
  • Create and set up Zoom Room account profiles
  • Assist as Tier 1 for networkable Zoom and Crestron appliances that may be offline during validation
  • Perform site surveys during handoff from A/V integrator to ensure rooms are complete and ready for validation
  • Perform functional validation of each Zoom Room to ensure the room account is online, appliances are updated to the latest firmware, OS, and software versions configured correctly, and all Zoom Room features are operational
  • As time permits, may assist with the Zoom Phone rollout
Supervisory Responsibility: None

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, 40 hours per week (Not to exceed 8 hours per day, unless pre-approved)

Required Education and Experience:
  • Experience in a Telephony Infrastructure Engineer or similar role
  • AV/Zoom room deployment and configuration experience
  • CTS is preferable, along with other industry-recognized AV/IT certifications
  • Covid Vaccination Required
