Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Distribution Center Operations Manager to join our team at American Tire Distributors. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily routines and specific tasks of assigned shifts and employees, with a focus on either transportation and/or warehouse management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and manage the day-to-day activities for warehouse associates and/or delivery associates assigned to different shifts.
  • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees to improve their performance.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Center General Manager to ensure the site is accomplishing daily and weekly responsibilities to achieve goals in Safety, compliance with all Company guidelines, policies and federal and state regulation quality, on time and accurate delivery, cost, while coaching and managing the talent of their team.
  • Assist in the deployment and execution of supply chain strategy while ensuring continuous improvement is occurring at their facility.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of previous supervisory experience (direct supervision of employees), experience in the receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies or equipment is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a continuous improvement based environment is preferred.
