Position Overview: Field Services Engineer

As a Field Services Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the optimal performance of power electronics systems at client locations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Commissioning and Maintenance: Oversee the setup, upkeep, and emergency support for power electronics systems within your designated region.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote assistance to clients, addressing their technical inquiries and challenges.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to ensure reliability.
  • Emergency Response: Act promptly to emergency service requests from customers.
  • Customer Communication: Maintain clear and timely communication with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Safety Compliance: Stay updated on Safety Field Change Notices and Service Tips to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Reporting: Accurately document and report expenses and service activities.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with the ability to troubleshoot equipment down to the component level, including UPS, batteries, and power distribution units.
  • A technical degree in Electronics or equivalent military training is advantageous.
  • Experience in the military or similar technical environments is a plus.
  • Proficiency in electrical theory and OHM's law.
  • Field service experience is essential.
  • Experience with 3 phase/480v systems is required.
  • Familiarity with electrical testing equipment and the ability to interpret electrical diagrams.
  • Standard computer skills, including proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and effective communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as needed.
