We are seeking a highly skilled Power Electronics Packaging Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative packaging solutions for power electronics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop small metal/plastic enclosures that house PCBs, Bus Bars, heatsinks, fans, and other components.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to bring rapid prototype designs to market, utilizing SOLIDWORKS for 3D modeling and layout.
  • Ensure designs are accurate and consistent with standard manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Maintain revision control for individual components to ensure configuration is controlled at each phase.
  • Design hardware packaging for high-power power electronics in enclosures, considering EMC, EMI, thermal, and other requirements.
  • Collaborate with system engineering to capture system requirements for utilizing packages in system architecture.
  • Work with service teams to create service plans and documentation for maintenance and repair of products.
  • Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) practices during the design process.
