Position Overview:

As a Junior Financial Program Analyst, you will leverage your analytical skills to oversee, assess, and manage project financial data to support both internal and external reporting requirements. Your role will involve the preparation of budgets and timelines for contractual projects, along with assisting in cost proposals, pricing documentation, and conducting 'what-if' cost analyses, as well as program cost forecasts and variance assessments. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that project costs and schedules remain aligned with contractual agreements.

Team Collaboration:

Within the Business Area Business Operations division, the Junior Financial Program Analyst will provide essential support to the Director of Programs, Program Managers, Associate Program Managers, and Business Managers by utilizing SNC's integrated program and financial management systems.

Data Management:

This role requires close collaboration with corporate functional teams to effectively review, monitor, and manage project data, ensuring compliance with SNC's Corporate Planning and Performance Measurement protocols. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining checks and balances within the organization.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) division specializes in delivering cost-effective, comprehensive command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection, and security solutions on a global scale. The MST team has a rich history of supporting various governmental and commercial entities, drawing on extensive experience in platform operations, engineering, and lifecycle management across multiple domains including air, land, sea, space, and cyber.

Work Flexibility:

This position offers the option for a hybrid work schedule or the possibility of fully remote work in most states.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pricing documentation for proposal development, including conducting 'what-if' program cost analyses.
  • Assist in the formulation of payment plans (Milestone, CLIN Liquidation, etc.).
  • Support the application of product-oriented or Business Area-specific work breakdown structures (WBS), including responsibility assignment matrices, WBS dictionaries, milestones, baseline establishment, and project/task budgeting.
  • Facilitate the timely completion of Program Management Plans (PMPs) and program baselines during Contract Negotiation Reviews, ensuring that budgets align with program baselines and do not exceed contract values.
  • Collaborate with Program Managers and Associate Program Managers to finalize program status updates and estimate-to-complete (ETC) forecasts, resulting in accurate program and resource projections.
  • Generate management reports and analyses for senior management review, including contractually required cost performance reports.
  • Notify the Contracts department regarding any limitations on costs or funds as dictated by contractual obligations.
  • Provide guidance and support for Earned Value Management in accordance with established internal processes and external requirements.
  • Engage in role-specific working groups.
  • Collaborate with other Business Areas and Corporate Functional groups to enhance processes and tools relevant to the Junior Financial Program Analyst role.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, with typically 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Strong communication skills for effectively conveying programmatic and financial information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in Forecast Analysis and Budget Management.
  • Ability to analyze and communicate programmatic and financial data effectively.
  • Proactive approach to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP functions.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management.
  • Master's Degree.
  • Familiarity with VBA.
  • Financial Modeling experience.

Compensation:

Estimated starting salary: $59,411.59.
