About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our team on the 4th floor of our Medical/Surgical department. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report patient concerns and changes in condition to registered nurses immediately.
  • Assist registered nurses with admission, transfer, discharge, and general patient care duties.
  • Record vital signs, assist with personal hygiene, and provide other patient comfort measures.
  • Assist with specimen collection and other activities for assigned patients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment to prevent and control infections and ensure patient safety.
  • Report necessary equipment repairs to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures according to departmental procedure.
  • Communicate with registered nurses regarding nutrition issues and diet changes.
  • Assist with administrative tasks to support department operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior patient care experience.
