We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our Neurology Unit team at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide basic nursing and personal care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practicing Nurse.
Responsibilities- Provide basic nursing and personal care to patients as delegated by and under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practicing Nurse.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on the assigned unit.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of high school.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Completion of an accredited CNA course and the successful completion of the CNA certification exam, EMT or paramedics training course, current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation.
