Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Technician to join our team in the Medical Observation Unit at Northshore. As a Patient Care Technician, you will provide basic nursing and personal care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practicing Nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic nursing and personal care to patients as delegated by and under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Licensed Practicing Nurse.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age(s) of the patients served on the assigned unit.
  • Report to the Clinical Manager or designee and be accountable to the care team.
Requirements
  • The level of knowledge normally obtained through the completion of high school.
  • Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Completion of an accredited CNA course and the successful completion of the CNA certification exam, EMT or paramedics training course, or current enrollment in an accredited nursing program with completion of at least one major clinical medical or surgical rotation.
