Executive in Residence

The Executive Director will be responsible for all aspects of organizational planning and management under the direction of HAWC's Board of Directors. Key responsibilities include:
* Leading HAWC's fundraising efforts, including developing and maintaining relationships with funders, managing grant applications, producing events, and creating fundraising appeals to individuals;
* Developing and executing a financial plan, including the development of an annual budget, and working closely with the Archer Group in the execution of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, cash management, and communication to facilitate the organization's annual audit;
* Supervising staff, including hiring at least one more position on the organization's team;
* Leading the development of organizational planning tools and realizing the goals set out within them;
The ideal candidate should possess significant experience in public policy or political campaigns, preferably with a background in health or environmental policy. They should have expertise in fundraising, financial management, staff supervision, and strategic planning. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. A passion for HAWC's mission to activate health professionals on climate change issues is essential.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $115,000 annually, plus benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, PTO, holidays, professional development stipends, wellness benefits, and a paid sabbatical after five years of employment.
