Become a Key Player as a Facilities Management Supervisor

The Facilities Management Supervisor is tasked with ensuring that the healthcare facility's infrastructure, surroundings, and equipment are maintained to the highest standards while adhering to relevant regulations. This pivotal role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including conducting inspections of facilities, coordinating maintenance activities, establishing preventive maintenance protocols, overseeing departmental personnel, managing budgets, and more. You will play a crucial role in keeping senior management informed, leading initiatives for performance enhancement, and ensuring that all services are delivered with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership:
    • Develop and oversee work schedules, staffing requirements, and task assignments.
    • Supervise staff, conduct evaluations, and manage disciplinary actions.
    • Encourage positive team dynamics and foster patient relations through effective issue resolution.
    • Facilitate onboarding for new team members and participate in necessary meetings.
    • Generate accurate reports in a timely manner.
    • Oversee property leasing, tenant interactions, and the Security department's contracts.
  • Operational Management:
    • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and grounds to ensure adherence to standards.
    • Plan and manage utility operations and maintenance initiatives.
    • Establish and prioritize preventive maintenance schedules and repair tasks.
    • Supervise testing and inspections of all equipment.
    • Foster a positive workplace environment with a strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and policies.
    • Propose plans for equipment upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
    • Lead performance enhancement initiatives and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
    • Manage budgeting processes and inventory oversight.
    • Coordinate any construction or renovation efforts.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Execute other assigned tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:

Experience, Education, and Skills:
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience in maintenance management.
  • High School diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, including pumps, engines, and HVAC.
  • Ability to interpret construction documents and schematics.
