Job Opportunity

The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is seeking a skilled professional to lead our government grants efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify government funding opportunities relevant to our programs
  • Analyze RFPs and prepare summary memos for applicable staff
  • Develop strategies for securing new grants and bolstering support and revenue
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to plan for government grant opportunities
  • Lead the preparation and development of government grant proposals, including outreach and planning
  • Ensure timely completion of proposal components and internal deadlines
  • Write proposals to fund research, direct service, evaluation, or special projects
  • Monitor and execute grant close out, extension, or renewal as necessary
  • Partner with teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Develop and maintain relationships with funder agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of government grant writing experience
  • Knowledge of New York City and New York State government structure and granting agencies
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform high-quality work
