Job Description

Job Title: High-Tech Engineering Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Tech Engineering Specialist to join our team at Arete. As an Engineering Technician, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and testing advanced systems, including cutting-edge imaging, LIDAR, SONAR, and motion control/pointing technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and fabricate prototype equipment to meet project requirements.
  • Recommend and implement design improvements to enhance reliability and performance.
  • Design and build harnesses and cabling for advanced systems.
  • Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and integration of systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate and test new equipment in-house, in the field, and at testing laboratories.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a high technology, aerospace, or military environment.
  • Experience building prototype and low-rate production systems.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of military and commercial connectors and cabling systems.
  • Passion to work with high-performance electronic and electro-optic systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience as an Electrical Technician in a high technology or aerospace environment.
  • Experience with high-density circuit card assembly and repair.
  • Current J-STD-001 certification.
  • Experience with tooling required in a prototype environment.
  • Experience with building rugged harnessing that can function reliably in real-world environments.
  • Hands-on experience with common electrical test equipment.
  • Current security clearance.
