Job Summary:

This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled High Performance Computing (HPC) professional to join our team at Raytheon Digital Technology. As a Principal Specialist in HPC, you will be responsible for providing expert-level support and administration of our HPC systems in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with our team to develop and implement new technologies and best practices in HPC.
  • Use advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical issues related to HPC hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Lead and support the engineering community in the integration of HPC systems and tools.
  • Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance and work across functions to standardize processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
  • Provide documentation and training on advanced HPC processes and procedures, and serve as a mentor to junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in HPC administration, with a strong background in Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Active U.S. government-issued security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
  • CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification.
  • Experience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High Performance Computing experience in a Linux environment.
  • Experience in project leadership, management, or project management in a DT domain.
  • Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
  • Unix experience in a medium to high complex environment.
  • Working knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine, and Ganglia.
