Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation.
    • Develop and implement menu planning and inventory control systems.
    • Manage kitchen operations, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Culinary Expertise
    • Assist in the preparation of menu items, including cooking, plating, and presentation.
    • Develop and execute new menu ideas and recipes.
    • Ensure that all menu items meet the hotel's high standards for quality and presentation.
  • Financial Management
    • Manage kitchen budgets and inventory control systems.
    • Monitor food costs and labor expenses to ensure profitability.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other culinary staff to achieve kitchen goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 3+ years of experience in a senior kitchen management role in a high-volume food service establishment.
    • Degree or certification from an accredited culinary program preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
