Our Sous Chefs are responsible for the daily leadership and operations of the kitchen. They provide professional leadership and direction to the culinary team by ensuring that all recipes, food preparations, and presentations meet the restaurant's specifications and commitment to quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the executive chef to ensure we're serving food that meets bartaco's standards for quality
  • Creating memorable dining experiences that exceed guest expectations
  • Driving continuous improvement
  • Coaching, leading, and developing the team
  • Performing calmly and effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Ensuring the team follows all bartaco standards
  • Managing shifts, including daily decision-making and effective planning
  • Performing daily compliance checks, including line, safety, and sanitation
  • Assisting with inventory, ordering, and purchasing
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Assisting with the hiring and training processes of all kitchen teams
