Job Title: Material Supervisor

Join General Dynamics as a Material Supervisor and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and analytical skills. As a Material Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and controlling material to meet production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and timely paperwork and system transactions.
  • Establish and maintain priorities of subordinates to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop operational and organizational improvements through collaboration and communication.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, federal, and international regulations.
  • Plan and coordinate work schedules to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Identify trends in productivity and process issues and develop improvement actions.
  • Develop key indicator metrics and reports to track department performance.
  • Conduct weekly communication meetings to ensure flow down of Leadership Team information.
  • Maintain high-level focus on safety objectives and complete required reports.
  • Utilize Lean principles to evaluate and improve processing and work flows.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of advanced material handling applications and systems.
  • Knowledge of Material planning systems (MRP, ERP, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Basic Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong PC experience and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to lead a diverse team.
