Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the project team during the initiation phase, which includes securing permits and coordinating jobsite setup.
  • Facilitate the organization of jobsite logistics, field coordination, and overall project timeline.
  • Coordinate scheduling for all trades while ensuring adherence to the project timeline.
  • Participate in subcontractor and safety meetings, taking the lead when required.
  • Oversee on-site documentation, including daily logs, safety reports, and incident documentation.
  • Manage and track delivery tickets effectively.
  • Monitor and enforce safety and security protocols; report unsafe conditions and promptly address job site hazards; ensure compliance with OSHA standards for equipment and materials.
  • Ensure all safety documentation is maintained on-site, including SDS sheets and quality control plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Assistant Superintendents.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings with stakeholders, including the Owner, Architect, and Construction team.
  • Continuously assess and report project progress to the Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager, adapting swiftly to changes and priorities.
  • Generate and distribute regular internal project updates using company software.
  • Utilize financial software to review and approve subcontractor payment requests and vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy in field quantities and reported progress.
  • Coordinate all necessary inspections.
  • Assist the Project Manager in project closure activities, including inspections, punch list finalization, obtaining necessary approvals, and securing occupancy certificates.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in construction management is required; a high school diploma or equivalent is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project; familiarity with Procore is highly desirable.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications accurately.
  • Understanding of survey stakes and the ability to calculate grade elevations is necessary.
  • Strong knowledge of building components, including foundational and structural systems, exterior wall systems, interior finishes, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
