Role Objective:

The Regional Service Operations Manager is tasked with steering the development of the regional field services division. This encompasses all customer services that operate outside our conventional branch framework. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, laboratory packaging, industrial and tank cleaning, facility decontamination, site closures, and the transportation and disposal of hazardous and bulk waste. This role is pivotal in achieving end-of-period sales targets and fostering growth through servicing current clients and collaborating with a network of approved contractors alongside our Branch Sales Managers and Branch Managers. The Regional Service Operations Manager will ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and compliance with industry standards throughout all projects, guaranteeing customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and engage in safe work practices aligned with CC safety protocols.
  • Oversee sales performance, growth, and operational efficiency within a designated geographic area.
  • Plan, direct, and assess the activities of all sales personnel.
  • Ensure timely and quality service delivery for all customer assignments within the branch.
  • Administer job-specific training for all branch staff.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements for branch personnel.
  • Support Route Sales & Service Representatives and Branch Sales Managers during sales initiatives as needed.
  • Step in for absent Route Sales & Service Representatives to maintain service quality.
  • Manage inventory levels of branch products.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Report daily and weekly sales results to management.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant EPA, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
  • Ensure the fleet is operational and compliant, collaborating with fleet management.
  • Meet sales quotas for overall revenue and new client acquisition.
  • Adhere to corporate policies and standards, including environmental, health, and safety (EHS) protocols.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Core Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adept at interacting with clients, sales branch personnel, and various corporate departments.
  • Proficient in operating equipment such as electronic devices, computers, and truck equipment.
  • Capable of training, mentoring, and developing a team of sales representatives.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years in sales and operational roles, preferably within the environmental services sector.
  • Experience in environmental services is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Med Card, HAZMAT, and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Motor vehicle record (MVR) must meet CC's established standards.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirators, steel-toed boots, gloves, uniforms, safety glasses, reflective vests, and hard hats.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting of materials weighing between 54-80 lbs.
  • Regular pushing/pulling of 16-55 gallon drums or larger containers, with weights potentially exceeding 400 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting of hoses weighing up to 55 lbs.
  • Climbing ladders to access approved waste streams.
  • Occasional pulling/dragging of hoses weighing up to 55 lbs each.
  • Frequent lifting of grates, manhole covers, and other access plates.
  • All candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol screening.
