Role Purpose:

The Regional Service Operations Manager is tasked with steering the expansion of the field services division within the designated region. Field services encompass all offerings provided to clients that operate outside our conventional branch framework. These services include, but are not limited to, laboratory packaging, industrial and tank cleaning, facility decontamination, site closures, hazardous waste transport and disposal, as well as bulk waste transport and disposal. This role is accountable for achieving end-of-period sales targets and fostering growth through servicing current clients and a network of approved contractors in collaboration with our Branch Sales Managers and Branch Managers. The Regional Service Operations Manager will also ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulatory compliance throughout project execution, guaranteeing that all tasks meet our clients' expectations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and engage in safe work practices consistent with all CC safety protocols.
  • Oversee sales, growth, and operational activities within a specified geographic area as defined by the organization.
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate the activities of all sales personnel.
  • Ensure quality and timely delivery of all customer services assigned to the branch during each sales cycle.
  • Administer job-specific training for all branch staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all required training for branch personnel.
  • Support or accompany Route Sales & Service Representatives and Branch Sales Managers during sales initiatives as needed.
  • Fill in for absent Route Sales & Services Representatives to maintain service quality for branch clients.
  • Manage inventory of branch products.
  • Accurately complete all necessary documentation.
  • Compile and report daily/weekly branch sales performance to management.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Ensure the facility and personnel adhere to all operational compliance standards while collaborating with fleet management.
  • Achieve sales targets for overall revenue and new client acquisition.
  • Comply with all corporate policies and standards, including but not limited to environmental, health, and safety (EHS), human resources, facility management, equipment operations, and maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Core Competencies and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Adept at interacting with clients, sales branch staff, and other corporate departments.
  • Proficient in operating equipment such as electronic devices, computers, hoses, and all truck apparatus.
  • Capable of training, mentoring, and developing a team of sales representatives.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of prior sales and operational experience is required, preferably within the CC or environmental services sector.
  • Experience in environmental services is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.

Education and Certifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) along with a Medical Card, HAZMAT, and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Motor vehicle record (MVR) must meet or exceed CC's established standards, including but not limited to:
    • Seat belt and cell phone violations.
    • Excessive speeding.
    • DUI, suspension, and/or multiple vehicle collisions.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include a respirator, steel-toe boots, gloves, uniform, safety glasses, reflective vest, and hard hats.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting of materials weighing between 54-80 lbs.
  • Regular pushing/pulling of 16-55 gallon drums or larger containers using CC-approved equipment, with drum weights potentially exceeding 400 lbs.
  • Frequent lifting of hoses weighing up to 55 lbs.
  • Regular climbing of ladders to access approved waste streams.
  • Occasional pulling/dragging of hoses weighing up to 55 lbs each.
  • Frequent lifting of grates, manhole covers, and other plates to access approved waste streams.
  • All candidates must pass a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol screening.
