LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Surgical Oncology - Nights

OU Health is seeking a skilled LPN to join our Surgical Oncology team in a full-time, evening shift position. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.
Job Summary:Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, the LPN will assist with patient assessments, provide routine care, and administer medications as ordered. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:- Assist with patient assessments, including data collection, observation, and vital sign monitoring.
- Provide routine care, including ostomy care, nasogastric tube placement, and oxygen therapy.
- Administer medications as ordered, including oral, intravenous, intra-muscular, intra-dermal, subcutaneous, sub-lingual, vaginal, rectal, and topical medications.
- Prepare patients for routine physical examinations and assist the physician during examinations.
- Function as a Surgical Tech in the operating room, as needed.
- Graduation from an approved LPN program.
- Current LPN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact LPN license (eNLC).
- Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association.
