We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Nephrology team at OU Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the LPN will provide direct patient care, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Assist with patient assessments, including vital sign collection and data entry.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Provide wound care, ostomy care, and other specialized nursing interventions.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Current LPN license in the state of Oklahoma.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- One year of experience in a medical-surgical setting, preferably in nephrology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
