Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable individual to fill the role of Payroll Specialist. This position is essential in providing administrative assistance to the Payroll, Benefits, and Human Resources divisions. Responsibilities will include extensive data entry, managing departmental correspondence, and various clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and scanning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Payroll, Benefits, and Human Resources departments with administrative tasks.
  • Manage ticketing issues within the departmental task assignment system.
  • Oversee the departmental email inbox, addressing issues and routing them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail and handle returned mail.
  • Process individual claims efficiently.
  • Perform filing, copying, faxing, and prepare routine correspondence, along with generating reports and maintaining supplies.
  • Attach scanned documents to member records as needed.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative or clerical roles is necessary.
  • Experience in Payroll, Benefits, and HR is advantageous.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including creating and formatting spreadsheets and using formulas.
  • Familiarity with various computer software, databases, or HRIS tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, medical insurance, or billing processes is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong administrative skills, including data entry, filing, and document management.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software applications.
  • Capable of operating a wide range of office equipment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational capabilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
