Main Purpose of Job

The primary objective of this position is to provide administrative support to the Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists, ensuring the effective implementation of statuary mandates and the successful operation of the Board's fiscal and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration of licensure functions, disciplinary actions, and fiscal information.
  • Provide support for policy and regulation development, administrative functions, public relations, and legislative activities.
  • Coordinate office and human resource functions, including staff supervision and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Maryland State audit processes and fiscal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Four years of administrative staff or professional work experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Maryland State audit processes and fiscal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

  • Probation and administrative investigations.
  • Motor vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Computer software and hardware.
