We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Freedom Pointe at The Villages. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing all food production activities and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our residents, visitors, and guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all food production activities, including menu planning, food preparation, and cooking.
  • Assist in leading operations for the food venue options for the entire community.
  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of culinary staff to ensure a positive and courteous work environment.
  • Collaborate closely with the Virginian Leadership team to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the quality and nutritional value of foods prepared, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years' experience as a sous chef or cook in senior living community, or within a hotel, fine dining restaurant, country club, or other similar institution.
  • A good understanding of food ordering, labor planning, and basic scheduling.
  • Experience with leading and managing a team, and knowledge/experience in teaching policies and procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, solid mathematical background, and an understanding of measurements and conversions.
  • Post-Secondary Courses in Restaurant Management, Nutrition, or related field. Degree or Certificate from a culinary institute preferred.
  • ServSafe Certified (preferred).
