Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food products and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the kitchen staff, including line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Develop and implement recipes and menu items to ensure consistency and quality.
- Conduct inventory and ordering to ensure adequate supplies and minimize waste.
- Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment and facilities to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef and other kitchen staff to achieve culinary excellence and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of cost and labor systems, as well as culinary techniques and food safety protocols.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train kitchen staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
