Key Responsibilities

As a Civil Engineering Consultant, you will:
  • Provide expert technical support and direction for due diligence, investigations, remediation, impact assessments, permitting, enhancements, and construction of infrastructure initiatives in both public and private domains.
  • Engage in comprehensive research, data collection, concept formulation, planning, and design of roadways and site enhancements.
  • Produce precise and succinct reports and documentation related to materials, installations, and construction specifications.
  • Ensure all responsibilities are executed with a quality standard that meets or surpasses industry norms for design, safety, and functionality.
Your Impact

In this role, you will:
  • Gather, compile, and analyze data from various sources, including physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS data, and geotechnical information to support project development, design, and construction.
  • Conduct professional civil engineering tasks and assist in evaluating proposed and existing site conditions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and scientists to execute project tasks, including establishing reference points for construction and calculating material and labor costs.
  • Verify site characteristics and provide technical guidance on engineering, design, and construction matters.
  • Prepare visual data representations such as tables, charts, and sketches for data interpretation and presentation.
  • Maintain quality control protocols for accurate measurements and reporting.
  • Contribute to the planning and development of small to medium-sized projects.
  • Assist in the creation of technical reports and presentations that elucidate research findings and address design or construction challenges.
  • Conduct engineering studies and surveys to gather further insights into specific design and construction issues.
  • Support the analysis and interpretation of field investigation data, aiding in the formulation of action plans for risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with engineers and planners on infrastructure projects funded by various governmental levels.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a closely related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and prior civil design exposure.
  • Engineer in Training Certification.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering principles, practices, and design/build processes.
  • Experience in infrastructure planning, design, and construction management.
  • Ability to coordinate with regulatory agencies and comprehend their requirements.
  • Knowledge of civil construction laws, codes, and compliance practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying ideas effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Effective self-management skills with a focus on detail and results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in technical writing and relevant design software (e.g., MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Licensure/Certification.
  • Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training is a plus.
