ROLE OBJECTIVE
As an Addiction Recovery Specialist, you will cultivate a supportive relationship with clients by providing education and encouragement to assist them in making constructive changes in their lives while minimizing the adverse effects associated with substance use and dependency. You will deliver client-focused care through evidence-based and trauma-informed practices. Utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, you will establish therapeutic connections and promote active participation in services. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessment interviews using established frameworks and collaborating with the team to implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies that address specific treatment and recovery objectives. You will facilitate group sessions and provide individual counseling.
REQUIREMENTS- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Typically, candidates will possess one to three years of experience in drug and alcohol addiction counseling.
- Certification as a CADC I or higher is mandatory; candidates in the process of obtaining CADC certification with MHACBO within six months will also be considered.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills along with proficient computer and time management abilities are essential for effective performance.
- A solid understanding of ASAM PPC-2R and DSM-5 is required.
- Familiarity with Oregon Administrative Rules is preferred.
- Successful candidates must be able to pass a criminal background screening.

COMPENSATION DETAILS
- Compensation will vary based on experience and qualifications.
- An additional stipend is available for employees who are fluent in both Spanish and English.
