Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Provide emotional support and guidance to clients, helping them to develop coping strategies and achieve their recovery goals.
  • Community Outreach: Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations, providing education and resources on addiction and recovery.
  • Treatment Planning: Collaborate with treatment teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, ensuring that clients receive comprehensive and effective care.
  • Case Management: Coordinate with clients, treatment teams, and community partners to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Education and Certification: Peer Support Specialist (PSS) Certification with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) or Certified Recovery Mentor (CRM) with the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
  • Personal Experience: Personal experience with addiction and recovery processes.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in using a computer and relevant software.
