Acquisition Professionals LLC is seeking a Contract Specialist II to provide comprehensive contract support to the Contracting Officer, encompassing acquisition development, requirements gathering, solicitation development, and selection planning.
The ideal candidate will possess a high level of government contracting knowledge and skills, with a focus on FAR Part 15 and service contracting.
Responsibilities:
The Contract Specialist II will be responsible for award and administration of contract actions, including contract compliance issues, change orders, handling disputes, cure notices, liquidated damages, and contract cancellation, as necessary.
Additionally, the contractor will assist the Contracting Officer in conducting strategic requirements review, acquisition strategy development, solicitation development, and performing other related procurement tasks.
Key responsibilities include reviewing requirements documents, preparing solicitations, acquisition plans, source selection plans, and other documents, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and local guidance.
The contractor will also support the Contracting Officer in assisting customers with the development and preparation of requirements documents, completing contract awards within established Procurement Administrative Lead-times (PALT), and handling contract files in accordance with acquisition regulations and DOL local policies and procedures.
Furthermore, the contractor may be required to assist in preparing responses to Freedom of Information Act Requests and Protested actions, and provide email and phone call responses to program office staff and other DOL officials.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and 24 semester hours in business-related coursework from an accredited college or university.
Excellent writing skills, effective communication, and a high level of government contracting knowledge and skills are essential for this role.
The ideal candidate will be a team player, task-oriented, responsive, and organized, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with the Contracting Officer and other stakeholders.
