MDS Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled MDS Coordinator to join our team at Regency Care of Arlington. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring timely completion of Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments, and developing care plans in accordance with federal and state guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate effectively with nursing staff to implement care plans
- Oversee care plan meetings with residents and families
- Verify accuracy of MDS assessments and transmit necessary corrections
- Provide education to staff on ADLs and other areas of MDS as needed
- Monitor documentation of Medicare and managed care residents
- Participate in Quality Improvement programs to enhance five-star ratings
- 2-4 years of experience in MDS and long-term care
- Point Click Care experience preferred
- AANAC certification
- Current CPR certification
- RN degree from an accredited college (minimum ASN)
- Medical Plan: Major Medical Insurance with HSA plan and prescription coverage
