Project Manager I Job Description

The Hawk Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager I to lead our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing overall project management direction, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex project challenges, leveraging your expertise in construction management and environmental regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, including subcontractor management and quality control.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, fostering a culture of open communication and respect.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, able to drive a company vehicle.
  • Experience with Federal and State contracting, including knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar scheduling software.
  • Experience writing UFP-QAPPS for USACE, AFCEC, and other Federal entities.
  • GIS Software.
  • Professional Registration such as PE, PG, or PMP.
  • Experience with emerging contaminants, such as PFAS.
  • Experience in the eastern and/or southeastern US geographic region.
  • Knowledge and experience with Alaska Native cultures.
