Chemist I Job Description

Brice Engineering LLC is seeking a highly skilled Chemist I to join our team. As a Chemist I, you will play a critical role in supporting environmental investigations and assessments in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support environmental investigations and assessments in accordance with state and federal regulatory guidelines and as directed by Project Management staff.
  • Adhere to schedule and financial objectives, controlling time and expenditures to achieve project goals.
  • Work with technical staff in support of project objectives and field operations.
  • Provide scientific and technical guidance, support, and coordination to project staff preparing written project documentation.
  • Evaluate and select data collection methods and procedures to be employed in site surveys and investigations.
  • Actively participate in creating a positive team environment.
  • Develop an awareness of the RFP and project planning processes.
  • Work with technical staff in support of project objectives and field operations.
  • Develop understanding of safety protocols, standards, and expectations.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Studies, or other related discipline required.
  • One to seven years of experience working on environmental projects, or at least one to seven years working in an environmental analytical laboratory.
  • Valid state driver's license and qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of the Brice Engineering's Driving Policy.
  • Ability to pass drug and background screening.
