Position Overview:
AKRF's IT Department is in search of a full-time Desktop Support Technician to provide assistance across all our offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting end-users and managing desktop systems, addressing both hardware and software challenges. This role requires flexibility to travel to various offices as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address technical assistance requests through various channels including in-person, phone, ticketing systems, and email.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues effectively.
  • Utilize available resources to research and answer inquiries.
  • Adhere to standard help desk protocols.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team members as needed.
  • Identify urgent situations and escalate them promptly.
  • Document and track problems and requests, ensuring resolutions are recorded.
  • Stay updated with system information, changes, and updates.
  • Review and enhance help desk documentation as required.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft desktop technologies (M365, Teams, Windows 10/11).
  • Experience with Active Directory administration, including user account management and group memberships.
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell for troubleshooting and discovery purposes.
  • Understanding of group policy and script behavior.
  • Fundamental knowledge of network connectivity and troubleshooting (both wired and wireless).
  • Self-motivated with strong critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Compensation:
